Dr. Heggen brings warmth and positivity to every visit. Raised in Austin, she’s passionate about making dental care relaxed and enjoyable for all her patients. Known for her friendly approach, she loves helping people feel comfortable and cared for, whether it’s a routine check-up or a more complex treatment.

Outside the office, Dr. Heggen enjoys playing tennis, spending time on Lake Travis, traveling, and soaking up all that Austin has to offer with her family. She’s excited to welcome you to the practice and help you feel right at home

About Dr. Heggen

Dr. Heggen is a proud native Austinite with a passion for smiles and sunshine! She kicked off her academic journey at Texas Christian University, where she graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Biology. She then earned her dental degree from UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, graduating Cum Laude in 2005, while also earning awards in research that took her from San Antonio to Baltimore and Honolulu!

Dentistry runs in her veins—Dr. Heggen grew up working in her dad’s dental office, where her love for science and caring for others began. After practicing in the DFW area and later serving communities in San Diego, CA, she found her way back to her true home at Northwest Hills Smiles in Austin in 2012.

Dr. Heggen loves nothing more than raising her family in the city that’s always been home. Outside of the office, you might find her playing tennis, soaking up the sun on Lake Travis, diving into a good book, or planning her next adventure. Passionate about giving back, she also enjoys volunteering with her husband, Hilton, and their children to support the Austin community.
