About Dr. Atassi

Michigan-born but Texas-raised, Dr. Shana Atassi is a dentist with a passion for turning dental visits into positive, friendly experiences. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in 2000, after kick-starting her journey at Texas A&M University with a degree in Biomedical Science — because helping people smile has always been her thing!

Throughout dental school, Dr. Atassi wore many hats (including Class Vice-President for four years running!), but her dedication didn’t stop at graduation. She quickly became a standout in the Capital Area Dental Society, snagging the 2006 New Dentist of the Year Award. She’s a proud member of professional organizations like the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry, all while staying connected to her Aggie roots.

Since moving to Austin in 2002, Dr. Atassi has fully embraced the city’s laid-back vibe and quirky charm. At home, she’s a proud mom to Owen and Audrey, always on the hunt for the next great family adventure, whether that’s hitting the trails, exploring new travel spots, or just soaking up some Austin sunshine.

With a friendly smile and a down-to-earth approach, Dr. Atassi makes every patient feel like family. She can’t wait to welcome you to the practice and help you find your happiest, healthiest smile!
